Can I start with Hosting & Care and upgrade to a Growth Plan later?
Yes! As a founding client, I can start with Hosting & Care (€99-€299/month) and upgrade to a Growth Plan within 12 months while keeping my founding client rates.
This means I can:
- Start with reliable maintenance at a lower monthly commitment
- Test the partnership before committing to full growth services
- Lock in Growth Plan rates (€599-€999/month) that could save me €2,400+ per year
- Upgrade anytime within 12 months without losing my founding client status
After 12 months, I can still upgrade but would pay standard Growth Plan rates.
Can we change tiers later?
Hosting & Care upgrades: anytime (pro‑rated).
Hosting & Care downgrades: once per quarter with 30 days’ notice, and only after 3 consecutive months on the current tier.
Growth plans: Standard 12‑month commitment with no downgrades within 12 months.
Pausing: not available. You can choose our Hosting & Care Planter (€99/month) year‑round and add short Boosts during busy seasons.
What happens to my founding client rate if I pause or cancel?
My founding client rate is locked in for as long as I stay active on my plan. If I cancel and return later, I’d pay the current standard rates.
However, I have flexibility:
- I can downgrade from a Growth Plan to Hosting & Care (€99-€299/month) and keep my founding status
- If I need to pause temporarily, we can discuss options on a case-by-case basis
- My rate never increases as long as I remain an active client.
Why paid discovery (Field Map at €597)?
It prevents expensive guesswork and focuses us on the highest-payoff changes for the next 90 days. Required for both Growth plans and complex/multi-page builds; not needed for 1-page websites.
The Field Map is credited to my first month’s Growth Plan, making it essentially free when I commit to ongoing growth.
What’s not included in Hosting & Care?
New features, redesigns, large content projects, third‑party subscription costs, and emergency fixes caused by unmanaged changes. These are quoted via a change order.
Can I self‑host or move later?
Most of my clients choose to stay with our Hosting & Care, and here’s why: your website lives on secure, eco-friendly servers that I monitor and maintain. This means I can jump in quickly when you need SEO tweaks, security updates, or functionality improvements. It’s like having someone in your corner who knows your site inside out and can act fast when opportunities arise.
During the first three months after launch, your website goes through a stabilisation period. This is when we’re making sure everything runs smoothly, all integrations work properly, and search engines start finding you. It’s a crucial time for your online presence to take root.
After those first three months, you absolutely own your content, domain, and design. If you decide to move to another provider, I’ll prepare a complete export package and can coordinate the transfer with your new host. There’s a one-time fee to cover the technical work involved in packaging everything up and ensuring a smooth handover. Once the transfer is complete, I’m no longer responsible for uptime, updates, or maintenance.

What happens to my Hosting & Care if I move?
I completely understand that circumstances change, and I want to make the transition as smooth as possible for you.
If you’re on a monthly subscription: I’ll need at least one month’s notice before your transfer date. This gives me time to prepare your export package properly and coordinate with your new provider without rushing. Your subscription will be cancelled once the transfer is complete.
If you’ve paid annually: Your Hosting & Care will continue until the end of your current contract period. This protects the investment you’ve already made and means you’re not losing out on services you’ve paid for. Once your contract ends, I’ll handle the transfer and your subscription won’t renew.
In both cases, I’ll work with you to time everything so there’s no disruption to your website. The last thing I want is for your site to go down while we’re moving things around.
Remember, once the transfer is complete and you’re with your new provider, they’ll be responsible for your hosting, updates, and any maintenance going forward. I’m always here if you need other support down the line, but the day-to-day care of your site will be in their hands.

Yes! Everything I do is delivered remotely, so I can work with rural businesses anywhere in the world. While most of my clients are based in the UK and the Netherlands, I’m happy to help wherever you are, as long as we can communicate comfortably in English.
